The digital transformation in industrial processes is of vital importance for our production of goods and services to achieve greater competitiveness and insertion in the international market. This reality demands for our country, important changes in the preparation of current and future professionals, who will be in charge of this responsibility. The use of technologies, the development of critical and multilateral thinking and the application of interdisciplinary approaches, in the opinion of the authors, are three fundamental elements that have an impact on the design of the curricula of the different careers, in the particular didactics , as well as in the general conception of the training of future professionals. In correspondence with this, this work aims to argue the use of methods, forms and ways for its implementation in the process of training engineers suitable for the development of Industry 4.0 in Cuba. The arguments that are presented in the work are part of the results of two research projects: "Particularities of engineering education", CREA 2013-2017 and "Impact of social networks on the university community" 2021-2022.
