Methodology for the integration of clinical data from the Center for Molecular Immunology
e403
Abstract
During the 28 years of clinical research at the Center for Molecular Immunology, a large amount of information has been accumulated in different data entry platforms, on which it is important to perform different types of analysis. For this, a methodology was designed that would allow the integration of different data sources. Pentaho Data Integration was selected as a tool to implement this methodology, which allowed designing reproducible data transformation flows.
This methodology was validated by integrating 12 lung cancer investigations. It is concluded that this methodology facilitates the process of capturing, cleaning and storing data, using a uniform and consistent format. Its use allows traceability and auditability to be established, which improves the quality of analysis and decision making, while reducing information handling time.
