Procedure for evaluating the level of competitiveness of Cuban foreign trade companies
e401
Abstract
The study of competitiveness in the Cuban trading company sector is vitally important for achieving greater efficiency in export and import chains, as an essential source of income for the country, and for its integration into an increasingly demanding global market. In this regard, this study aims to design a procedure for evaluating the competitiveness level of these companies belonging to the Foreign Trade Companies Group (GECOMEX). Through a theoretical and methodological study, the most relevant elements of the topic and the different models used for this purpose were identified. Given the lack of such models, a procedure was designed to evaluate the level. This procedure consists of three stages (planning, execution, and control) and eight general steps. It incorporates the use of information and communications technologies, an improvement plan format, and a matrix for organizing these actions.
