Abstract

One of the alternatives to diminish the consequences that carry on the Livestock Centers the abusive use of conventional medicines, is the use of innocuous therapies, economic, that do not affect the environment or the animal and that contribute with the recovery of the animal Health in short time, without collateral damage is Phototherapy-Laser (Bjerkas, 2010), which contributes with quality productions, in an innocuous and ecological way, it brings benefits to the environment and to the animal, which is why it achieves healthier animal products with sustainability.

This therapy is based on the stimulation of the regenerative processes under the action of light, by means of the colors that provoke the regional and general therapeutic effects, photo-biological effects in depth (biochemical behavior that is denoted after the absorption of energy).
Taking into account this background, specialists and students of Biomedical Engineering have been working on the development of technologies and methods for the use of Phototherapy-Laser to support a safe Veterinary Medicine and reduce the use of conventional medicines.
In the work the results of the application of Phototherapy-Laser with the BIOFIE equipment developed in the CUJAE for its use in Veterinary Medicine are presented.
