Abstract
Work motivation is an essential aspect that influences the performance, satisfaction, and commitment of employees in any organizational environment. In the academic field, especially in higher education institutions, leadership emerges as a determining factor in creating a conducive environment for the professional and personal development of faculty and administrative staff. Considering this issue, the objective of this study is to analyze the impact of leadership on work motivation in the Faculty of Computer Science at the Technical University of Manabí. This study presents a diagnosis of the current state of research on leadership and its impact on work motivation within the Faculty of Computer Science at the Technical University of Manabí, focusing on the perception of professors, administrative staff, and service personnel. This research employed a non-experimental cross-sectional design, in which deductive, analytical, and statistical methods were applied, and a survey was conducted, which was administered to the personnel involved in the study. The results of the analyses conducted are supported by scientific validation of the proposed research. The study concluded that understanding and applying leadership principles can be crucial to improving work motivation, which, in turn, impacts productivity and organizational performance.
