Abstract

The results of the study carried out in order to obtain a hierarchical list of assets from technological systems in a physiological serum production plant belonging to a biopharmaceutical company are presented. A methodology to prioritize the assets involved in the production process was applied. Techniques such as surveys, expert criteria and mathematical modeling were used. Two previously validated mathematical models were implemented, one for the analysis of criticality and another for the analysis of complexity, obtaining a matrix that made it possible to get a hierarchical list of assets. Finally, decisions were made about the most critical assets to be included as a priority in an availability improvement program.
