Abstract

The Board of Directors of the Computer Consulting and Security Company, as the main management body, is in charge of preparing, implementing and analyzing the deviations that affect the fulfilment of the goals set. In the last two years, the planned goals have not been achieved, with deficiencies in the performance of the management team, being identified as one of the causes. The objective of the investigation is to analyze the performance of the management team for a computer security and consulting company with a systemic and integrative approach. Among the theoretical research methods used are historical-logical, analysis-synthesis and induction-deduction; among the empirical surveys, checklists and scientific observation; the statistics for the validation of the applied instruments and the processing of the collected data. As a result, there is a set of instruments for diagnosing the performance of the management team, as well as the elements that currently affect it. The variables that affect the performance of the Board of Directors were obtained, in order to draw up an action plan for its improvement. Furthermore, the instruments applied become a useful tool to evaluate the effectiveness of the designed improvement plan.
