Scientific and technological responsibility in future engineers trained at CUJAE

Abstract
This article presented below reflects the need to intentionally train scientific and
technological responsibility in future engineers from the Cuban university. Reference is
made to the role of the social nature of engineering functions and their responsibility
with the environment, being key to a sustainable future. To achieve this, social science
subjects that strengthen these ideas from their content must be promoted, although all
teachers have the responsibility of educating students for the comprehensive training
that higher education aims for.
Furthermore, the importance of appropriate technology is expressed, a priority element
to be taken into account by future engineers in any of their functions, as those in charge
of planning, creating, proposing, executing and logistically supporting projects in society. On this basis, the complementation of traits that are manifested through the
value of responsibility that form an important part of the competence of those who carry
out these actions are translated. A philosophy is also proposed that must be assumed by
the person responsible for any work to be created to maintain a good relationship with
the environment.
