Revisión de la resistencia a la compresión del concreto incorporando variedades de adiciones de fibras
89-102
Abstract
The constant interest in achieving a concrete with better characteristics has led researchers to study
the use of fibers. The objective of this work is to carry out a state of arts review on the resistance of
concretes incorporated with different types of fibers, in order to provide a synthesis of the results
and discuss the possibility of reaching specific design resistance that different projects may require
in engineering. A review of fifty articles indexed between the years 2011 and 2020 was made,
distributed as follows: 18 articles were from Scopus, 13 from ScienceDirect and 17 from Scielo;
observing the effects of the reinforcement of different types of fibers and how they influence the
compressive strength. The review of the results showed that the fibers have the potential to improve
the compressive strength of concrete and that it will depend on the type of fiber, its content and the
resistance to which it is being designed.
