Abstract

The study of seismic-resistant behavior of the adobe walls at heritage buildings in seismic areas was carried out by considering its current state of fissured to determine maximum seismic acceleration that would resist without affecta-tions to the heritage; This acceleration is defined as the seismic test or seismic design wall (ac) that characterizes the dynamic reply of a segment that is structurally representative of the fissured wall called critical mass wall segment
(mcm). The structural mathematical model of the segment mcm for the acceleration of seismic response analysis is performed using a spectral form for the calculation of seismic wall coefficient (Csm) whose value depends on their fun-damental period (Tm), which is determined by the mass of the segment mcm and the rigidity of composite floor systems or roof. Finally, outlined some criteria and guidelines for the design of the intervention of seismic -resistant breeding of the heritage buildings of adobe based on conservation principles.
