This work shows the research developed for the acquisition of ocular potentials related with the Vestibular System. We characterize the electrodes used like primary transducers considering theirusing (superficial electrodes, reusable or disposable electrodes), their composition’s material (Ag or Ag/AgCl) with good biocompatibility, their contact area and impedance measured with help of animpedance measurement KIT (AD5933); as well as their adequate facial placement on the subjects (three channels of measure-ment: horizontal and two verticals channels) for the best comprehension of the signals during the devel-opment of rotatory tests. Besides we analyzed preliminarily signal records obtained on five subjects, de-tecting the nystagmuscharacteristics registered in the time domain during the stable and convalescence phasesof the protocol of a rotatory test on a rotatory sofa controlled, detecting a change of symmetry of these events according to the direction of rotation, and a difference in theirspectral characteristics be-tween subjects with clinical pathologies and supposedly healthy subjects, obtainingthe base for a future definition of new spectral-time quantitative indicators in the identification of clinical pathologies related with the answer of the Vestibular System in subjects with loss of space equilibrium.Downloads
