Assessing the Impact of Methodological Work in Training Student

Abstract

The article is a result of a research project requested by the Study Center Network on Higher Educationin order to assess the effectiveness and impact of methodological work in the training process in fiveCuban universities. It was used the Data Envelopment Analysis and DEASOFT software, obtaining theefficiency ratio for each teacher from 18 indicators included in the instrument Visit to classes, whichwas agreed by experts from different universities involved in the research. For efficiency ratio wereconsidered 113 teachers of second and third year, two-run universities of the Isle of Youth, UNAH,University of Holguín and ISPJAE. For choosing the model took into account their orientation, the typeof returns to scale, the kind of efficiency measure and the types of variables. It was considered asoutput variable years of experience and an analysis of the variable college more variability indicatorspresented in the instrument. It also picked up a set of positive aspects, indications and recommendations,observations and opinions of students, to enhance the impact of methodological work in their training.
